General User Responsibilities
Dene Adams LLC. Produces high-quality, concealed-carry products that are fashionable and functional. Safety is their highest priority.
ALL FIREARMS are potentially dangerous even under ideal conditions. SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH may result from improperly handled, used or stored firearms.
Dene Adams advises ALL potential users of their concealed-carry products to READ AND UNDERSTAND THESE WARNINGS IN THEIR ENTIRETY PRIOR TO USE of the product. This is to ensure the protection and safety of the user, others, and objects nearby that you do not want to destroy.
Proper Holstering
When inserting or removing the firearm from the holster, keep your finger clear of the trigger until your firearm is on target and ready to fire.
- With your support hand, reach across the body and lift the garment over the holster as high as possible.
- With your draw hand firmly grip the pistol while keeping your trigger finger on the outside of the holster opening. Draw the firearm straight up clearing the holster, then drive the muzzle of the firearm in a straight line to the target.
- To re-holster: Uncover the garment from the holster to reinsert the firearm in the holster. Have your support hand push or lift the garment to expose the opening of the holster. Confirm that your firearm is securely seated in the holster before removing your hand from the grip. Failure to do this may result in accidental dropping of the firearm or an accidental discharge. ALWAYS keep your trigger finger straight and on the outside of the holster compartment.
- Use the retention tab to secure the firearm into the holster. This will keep the firearm from falling out during activity.
- ALWAYS KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT.
General User Responsibilities
GENERAL USER RESPONSIBILITIES. Anyone using a firearm should follow these general, common-sense principles:
(A) TRAINING. No person should handle any firearm unless such person has first successfully completed an accredited firearms safety program conducted by competent, qualified instructors.
(B) KNOWLEDGE. Users should know how to safely use every firearms they own, hold or carry.
(C) RESPECT. Anyone handling or carrying a firearm is expected to exercise extreme caution and to assume at all times that the firearm is loaded and ready to fire.
(D) SAFE HANDLING. As Grandpa Dene used to say, "There is no such thing as a gun accident." Users are expected to maintain (a) proper muzzle and trigger control while handling or using their firearms and (b) have awareness of their surroundings, including the area behind their targets. Users are advised to exercise extra caution when holstering or drawing their firearm from its carrying location.
(E) MAINTENANCE. Users are expected to clean, maintain, repair, and upkeep any firearm intended for use, and only use or carry firearms that are safe to operate.
(F) DISCIPLINE. Users should never handle a firearm while under the influence of alcohol, or drugs that alter mood, state-of-mind, or perception. This includes some over-the-counter or prescription medications, as well as all legal and illegal controlled substances.
(G) SUPERVISION. Firearms should always be kept out of the reach of children and usage of any firearm should be limited to those trained and legally permitted to do so.
(H) LEGAL COMPLIANCE. It is the user's responsibility to know, understand, and follow all legal requirements concerning the possession, handling, usage, transport, and storage of firearms imposed by any relevant jurisdiction. This includes the acquisition and maintenance of any required licenses or permits, and respecting any restrictions concerning the possession of deadly firearms.
Failure to abide by these principles is extremely reckless, dangerous, and potentially lethal.
I. FIREARM SUITABILITY. Dene Adams products are intended for use with most modern, unmodified, properly-functioning subcompact handguns. Dene Adams has tested a number of standard subcompact handguns for use with our products, but it is impossible to test or approve every handgun type, size, variant, or modification. Because after-market modifications may cause improper fit or accidental discharge, the use of broken, defective, worn, obsolete or otherwise inferior handguns, custom handguns, or any other handguns not adhering to that handgun manufacturer's original factory specifications is NOT RECOMMENDED.
Modifications unsuitable for use with Dene Adams products include, without limitation, any after-market grips, grip adapters, target hammers, target triggers, trigger shoes, extended magazines, non-standard sights, or other modification(s), whether the modification is installed by a manufacturer, retailer, or some other person or entity. Use of any defective, custom, or non-standard handgun is at the user's own risk, and Dene Adams specifically disclaims all responsibility or liability for events or consequences resulting from the use of Dene Adams products with custom, modified, inferior, or otherwise unsuitable handguns.
II. FIREARM CARRY CONDITION. Carrying any handgun with a live cartridge in the chamber immediately in front of the firing pin is dangerous, as it risks accidental discharge. Dene Adams recommends carrying the handgun in the carry-safe condition recommended by the manufacturer; for single-action revolvers and most semi-automatic pistols, this generally means the hammer or firing pin will rest on an empty chamber. For firearms such as a revolver with internal hammer and no safety, trigger guards are available and can be secured in your holster. Please make sure that trigger guard is properly installed according to Dene Adams instructions.
DO NOT attempt to cock a holstered handgun –doing so can cause severe damage to the handgun, holster, or both, and may cause an accidental discharge. Furthermore, Dene Adams DOES NOT recommend carrying "cocked and locked" (i.e. gun cocked, safety engaged), as this condition increases the risk of accidental discharge. Users who carry handguns in these dangerous conditions do so at their own risk.
III. INITIAL PRODUCT FIT. Product fit should be checked twice prior to full-time use – first with the product empty, and then again with an unloaded and unchambered handgun. NEVER PLACE ANY LOADED HANDGUN IN ANY HOLSTER WITHOUT FIRST TESTING FOR PROPER FIT WITH THE FIREARM UNLOADED. It is impossible for Dene Adams to test every possible handgun type, size, or variant for compatibility, and it is therefore the user's responsibility to personally verify product fit and handgun compatibility in each and every instance, using the actual handgun to be carried. DO NOT TRY TO STRETCH, BEND, OR MODIFY THE PRODUCT.
IV. CONTINUED PRODUCT USAGE. Dene Adams recommends that users continue to verify proper fit and function prior to every use, including a visual inspection of the product's interior and exterior. Dirt or other foreign material in the holster should be removed prior to use. Should the user notice excessive wear, torn stitching, poor product fit, or any other defect, CEASE USE IMMEDIATELY.
V. ASSUMPTION OF RISK. The purchasers and users of Dene Adams products assume all associated risk of the purchase and/or use of this product, including but not limited to: (1) the responsibility to use these products in a safe manner in accordance with all manufacturer’s instructions, (2) events that could affect the speed with which someone might be able to access one's weapon, (3) clothing or jewelry which might hinder quick access, (4) physical activities with another person, animal or object.
VI. WARRANTY WAIVER. Dene Adams products are sold on an "as is" and "where is" basis. Dene Adams makes no representations or warranties of any kind with respect to its products, and specifically disclaims all warranties including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Determination of fitness or suitability of any product for a specific use is the responsibility of the user. All instructions and warnings should be read and understood prior to product use.
VII. INDEMNIFICATION. IN NO EVENT SHALL DENE ADAMS, LLC OR ANY OF ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE TO THE BUYER OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHER DAMAGES, FOR ANY LOSS, DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, INJURY, OR LOSS OF LIFE, WHATSOEVER ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THE USE OR MISUSE OF ITS PRODUCTS, WHETHER ARISING UNDER BREACH OF CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
